Like most Woodturning clubs, Merseyside Woodturners tries to provide information and tuition as well as a social experience. The social side of the club is served by our monthly meetings, when we usually have a demonstration relating to woodturning or some woodworking skill or craft, for details click here. Our workshop is aimed at providing woodturning tuition for the members and the adjoining gallery provides a place for them to display their work.
Our club runs a workshop in Liverpool, for the members to use. It is available for members personal woodturning projects and we hold woodturning classes each Saturday and Wednesday. We do not run certificated woodturning courses but our classes are designed to teach novices a well rounded basic capability in both spindle turning and bowl turning. For details of the classes, email our . The workshop is equipped with lathes and all the tools necessary for spindle and faceplate woodturning. This means that we are not trying to rewrite information that already exists, or hold what could only be a tiny fraction of the available information about woodturning projects and techniques.
