LEARNING

General Objectives

One of the main aims of our association is to create and encourage an environment within which our members can exchange ideas and improve their skills. We do this by having critique sessions and arranging demonstrations to show diverse skills. With this end in mind, we would welcome contact from anyone who would be willing to share their skills with us.

Organised Tuition

The club runs tuition workshops for those members who wish to improve their woodturning skills. These are held weekly on Saturdays from 10a.m. to 4p.m. The subjects on offer include basic bowl turning, spindle turning, hollow forms and various other aspects of woodturning. Contact Steve for details.

Learn Stuff

This section is a collection of articles containing useful information and advice on a wide spectrum of wood related stuff. The idea behind this is to make information available to anybody who might find it useful. Any input to this section will be welcomed and articles can be submitted to the webmaster.

The library is run by our librarian John Foster. If members have any suggestions regarding items they would like to see included in the library, then please contact the librarian.
